Waking up and being jolted out of your sleep with an emergency alert on your phone is no doubt stressful. Thankfully there was no radiological activity reported at the Nuclear Power Plant.
Despite them saying that it was an error in sending out the alert, it’s a good wake-up call for us all to be prepared for any type of emergency even though we live in a part of the world that makes us feel there is nothing to worry about. It’s easy to take it for granted that we’ll be okay and nothing will happen to us.
Let’s make sure we get our emergency preparedness kits and have them ready in our homes and in our cars. There are many links available and easy to find prepared kits ready to go if we are not able to put them together ourselves. Here are some links that you could find prepared kits:

Always be prepared to know who to call in the case of an emergency amongst your family and friends and neighbours.
Be well-prepared physically and mentally. Don’t take anything for granted.
Stay safe!
